first of all,

happy birthday tianhui and yihui!

this was supposed to be posted yesterday, but somehow i didnt, so,

happy belated birthday tianhui and yihui!

with all the band practices, this holiday is busy enough for me. plus all the studying of next year's syllabus given by my mum and my maths homework im definitely having a terrible headache.

and now wat.

i just found out (okay, maybe not just. a few weeks back actually.) that sok, yanyi, ky, ding, and wayne actually hang out together like wat, almost every tuesday and thursday?

of course i can go join them. wow. you mean i cant? can wat. it so happen that tues and thurs i got band lorh.

and i really miss yanyi.

so wat now. im missing out all the fun man. no big deal. wow.

sometimes i really feel like just poning band and joining them in all their fun.

but hey, there's only like, 7 more band pracs to concert. i must be an idiot to leave my band mates alone for practice man.

actually, i would really have given up on band if not for all the music and the people. it was really the music and the people that kept me persevering.

so.

i must persevere to concert man. persevere.

had band today. from 9-4. can you believe it?

aw... of course you can. we just had it.

anyway, had sectionals in the morning, then had full band prac in the afternoon. it was relatively boring, despite the fact that we played NICE SONGS!

then the fun part was when we played gershwin, andrea had to play the drumset and the tom toms. then ms chong was like :"andrea, why do you have to run to the tom toms? can you like, put one tom toms next tto the drumset. or if not, turn the tom toms on the drumset."

then everyone in percussion was like :" HUH?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!"

then ms chong said: "why cannot meh?"

then christal was damn cool. she said: "er ms chong, if you turn the toms toms on the drumset, you are doing relatively dismentaling and destroying of the drumset."

then the whole band was like laughing like siao.

then after band i made jasmine, hui juan, pearlynne and patricia wait for me until like wat, 5? cos i was collecting band uniform.

then they very bian4 tai4. hmph. nvm.

then me and jasmine went home together. jasmine saw her friend on the bus, then her friend was saying:

"hey. is there a school here?"

jas: "er.. dunno"

yixiao (jasmine's friend): "you know hor, this stop always got alot of spastic people board the bus one lorh."

jas: "really, how come i dunno."

yixiao: "their uniform white colour one."

jas: "ha! like ours!"

yixiao: "then the people arh, always sit in groups, then they will suddenly laugh loudly on the bus one lorh."

jas:" haha! sounds like us too! are you talking about us?"

ERMS.

of course not lah, yixiao was referring to the nanyang primary school. wow. (please note the sacarsism)

but there was a school there with kids wearing white uniform too.

i wrote the previous post until like 1a.m. last night, and realised i had past the last one hour not knowing that it was birthday. being tired, i went to sleep.

this morning, i woke up went to tuition and came back, without any greetings at all. logged onto the computer and read han sheng's email. he was the first person to wish me happy birthday.

then yanyi talked to me over msn. haha. she very cute. wished me happy birthday too.

then me and my family went out, and when we came back, sok wished me happy birthday, and then followed by ding.

so tell me, how many people actually remembered my birthday?

sigh. that shows how unimportant i am. why am i still living?

event: nanyang girls' high school open house.

went to school at 7.45 today. thought had to reach school by 8.45, but sylvia told the band had to assemble by 8.40 instead.

i was seconds to being late.

jasmine was late though. both of us didnt noe cos we left band early yesterday.

anyway, we carried our stands and our scores and our instruments down to outside the GO.

we were performing outside the gerneral office. *gasps*

then me and jasmine had to take the lift. TSK. double bass mah. and we decided to help percussion also. cos we were from percussion! haha. so we knew how to carry stuff. haha. so we helped!

and since our school only had ONE lift, we had to wait for that ONE lift. and for more than 15 MINS, the CO occupied the lift and we were left to wait there outside the lift with all the percussion stuff and our basses.

PERCUSSION ONLY GOT 3 PEOPLE CAN?

sec 2s percussion all not here, lorraine had gastric, jannable go disneyland, aiwen was nowhere to be seen, so they all left poor christal, andrea and xinyi there.

then when we finally got to use the lift, me and jasmine went down first, then went back up to help the percussion. then me, andrea and xinyi were left there outside the lift to shift in 3 big timpanies. gaaaaaah. jasmine lah! nvr come and help! then christal and sylvia were in the lift to shift the timpanies out of the lift. then in the end, i had to "drag" the largest timpani from the lift to outside the G.O. sigh. why all the sec 2s had to choose this time to go overseas? then, i met jasmine downstairs and she went to carry the other timpani outside the lift.

andrea very funny. she sent the 2 timpanies down with xinyi alone in the lift, thinking that there would be people to help her. but guo ying came up afterwards, saying that there was no one downstairs, and andrea started banging on the door of the lift, saying: "xinyi! quick open up! i want to save you!"

so i went down by the stairs instead.

mr lee (one of our conductor) was said not to be here until afternoon, so sylvia conducted instead. had some problems with following her conducting at first, but was ok afterwards. played festivo, raycharles and some other songs. rested in between the songs of course, or you can say, slacked. it was rather boring, to be sitting there, playing stuff yourself, or else sitting down and staring at the people walking past whilst they stared back at you.

and there was another problem. both jasmine's and my bows had problems. or was it the strings? cos we couldnt bow properly, and that resulted in no grip which meant no sound came out from the strings. jasmine suspected it was due to the melted rosin we used. let's go buy a new rosin.

jasmine wanted mrs wong to buy a new bow. (we had 3 bows already. and the 3rd bow had problems too. either too much, or too little rosin.)

so what was the point of us doing there, when we couldnt produce a single sound?

ok, we could produce high sounds, but not the lower ones. higher ones are easier to produce.

so we just bowed and cared less. why did eugenia not be here?

o ya. i think it all started with the horns and trumpets. they started playing persis. they, referring to the sec 3s of trumpets, and sec 2s of horns, were playing persis and the trombones and christal began to play with them too. it was quite nice, though without the full band playing, it sounded wonderful. i was just savouring every moment of it.

then ms chong came and conducted us for some songs.

time crawled by that morning. by the time ms chong annouced lunch, i was wiped out. my back muscles ached more than even and my wrist was hurting. that was when i found out i had developed hard skin on the underside of my right thumb. due to overuse of that area of skin. sigh.

but lunch wasnt all set for us either.

the day before, jac had told us to bring our own food for lunch as the school had not enough food. and i remembered sylvia saying: "huh? not enough food? 那么穷 arh? ok. so you guys just bring your own food ok?"

i was trying to suppress my laughter.

but little did we expect to have only 20 packets of food when there's about 60 over people in band.

and wat was in the packet?

a fishball, a piece of pizza bread, and a slice of suger roll.

we couldnt even share it together, or at least as a section, so some of us skipped lunch.

then jasmine, cheryl, jacey and me walked around until we finally found the trombone people. jo, valerie, ziyan, yun jia, and samantha. sam seemed bored, but the others (sec 1s de) were playing tricks. then jasmine suggested to say jokes while i shoutd: "ghost stories!!!!!" haha. so jasmine decided on ghost stories. and jo and me were saying alot of them. then jasmine kept scarying us. stupid jasmine. keep freaking us out. then we went downstairs thinking it was time to go back when jiaying appeared. then she said: "why ya'll going back, havent time yet. then we all gathered around in a big circle in the middle of the pathway outside the GO leading to the canteen(standing not sitting) and listened to jo's ghost story. jiaying kept freaking us, and jasmine kept shouting for no reason. tsk. then i was like: "why we so stupid stand there block the way for wat, sit at the benches lah!" then we sat, and jasmine said, "it;s 1.01 now."

then i froze. i was supposed to report at 1 for psgl duty.

so i excused myself and ran. but i passed the g.o., i saw the band already getting ready, so i went back to jasmine and the group and practically shouted, :"OOI! HAVE TO GO BACK ALREADY!!!"

and we ran back.

haha that was the fun part.

then i ran to the audi, as i had to report to the stand outside audi.

melissa told me to be there by 12.40. it was already 1.02. wat the.

but i wasnt late. there was no breifing at all, and all we had to do was to wait for the parents to come out from the audi at 1.30 as mrs chek was giving a talk.

1.00 my foot. that was wat they put in the email sent to us.

anyway, we sat outide the audi, waiting for time to crawl by. bailu kept complaining to ms teo that she was bored and ms teo said that to be a psgl one had to keep themselves occupied.

so we tried. we talked about to kill a mockingbird. (pssst! i havent read it.)

but i got some tips on what it roughly was about and had a better chance of understanding.

then the parents came out and me and another girl went to tour-lead some groups.

at first it was freaky, but soon after, the people seemed nice and we started to relax. we mostly talked and interacted with the people more then just bringing them here and there.

note to self: never let the opposite side ask questions alone. try to ask them some questions to understand their background. this will let the opposite side feel more welcomed. and interact more.

and ya. we lead two familes, and i lead one last one myself cos my partner had to leave early. it wasnt very scary, but it was tiring.

was supposed to go home with jasmine, but she went to coro with jiaying instead. -cries- then i went home alone. sorta slept on the bus. cos i was TIRED. sigh.

imagine you lead a big group of people and then you say: " er er er this is our school auditorium and it is named after blah blah blah because........" and then you start blabbering about the school history and stuff and then the people get bored and start walking off.

and im supposed to talk about our school canteen too. but PUR-LEASE. what's there to talk about?

"oh. it's very big, but dirty, then there's a wide variety of food sold at the stalls ranging from sweets to japanese sushi. but unfortunately, the stalls are not open now, if not you could have tried some of the delicious food here."

that's PART of the reason why i part my psgl duty as the 3rd shift. cos it's from 1-3. that means lesser people.

today we band from 10 - 5.

sectionals in the morning, full band prac in the afternoon.

to tell you the truth, since jasmine and yooj wasnt there, me, xiaohui, cheryl and jacey sort of SLACKED. yarh. but we still ran through rosa and finale and festivo.

TSK.

then we went coro to Wadever Cafe. ate terryaki chicken. regretted not trying the spaghetti. looked so delicious. nvm. im contented.

then went back and played rosa, FESTIVO, NINETIES, ray charles, and copacabana.

i was so waiting for ms chong to say "now, we play festivo." can?!?! ahhhh! festivo very fun and exciting to play!

and jasmine was like "sheesh! i like nineties better."

FESTIVO!

oh. HA! ms chong(our conductor) was chereographing movements for us when we play nineties and ray charles. SO DAMN FUNNY!! haha! especially for ray charles when they sit and stand and sit and stand. ha!

then me and jasmine went for bass lessons at 4.15. and when we left, we heard the band playing gershwin.

*pssssst! i think our band got very nice tone! fuhua's band conductor told the band that too! ha! so honoured!

then after bass, we went home together. i must be the worst sec 1 in the band. ms yeo(bass teacher) scolded me like dunno what. sigh. her only other sec 1 bass student(edwina) is pro while im so lan. edwina got a bass at home can?!?!

SIGH

o ya! and today most sec 4s came back. ha! so our band seemed big, despite the fact that all sec 2 percussion had gone overseas. and now percussion got very very very little people.











went to watch harry potter with ding, ky, hui juan, and han sheng on tuesday at omnimax theatre. what a dissapointment. sigh. maybe they shouldnt have changed directors. but im not telling much. you guys go see for yourself. those who have watched it should noe wat i mean.

anyway, today was a nice day. went back to de la salle, and i MISSED BAND BECAUSE OF THAT. but anyway, it was till fun to see chuiyi, nigel and han sheng all back. went to school at 2.30. saw yi xian and sok khoong outside the gate. and, the guard didnt let us in. but in the end he had to cause ms sam INVITED US. so what can he do.

anyway, we went in, then chui yi smsed yi xian to tell us to go to the hall. and we saw chuiyi there. han sheng and nigel were already there. so we took our seats next to them and began chatting. then mr cheng went on stage to ask us to stand and say grace after meals. then stand again to welcome guest of honour. then new principal made a speech. but obviously no one was listening. so no point at all.

I LIKE CHUI YI'S UNIFORM! SO COOL! very nice!

o. then i thought nigel grew taller. psssst! i think he very cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

then it was our turn to go up on stge to receive the price. then we lined up outside the hall. and you know wat was the first thing mr seah said to me?!?!?

"ha! i still taller than you!"

than when we were at the foot of the steps to the stage, nigel suddenly said :" ok. now im scared." and han sheng said: "can i not stand on the steps first?"

haha. i nvr thought those twqo boys would be scared of that. ok nvm. but they were really amusing. haha.

then we went up to collect our vouchers or sth like that. then chui yi left for her school event. then nigel dunno go where. then sok, yixian, me and han sheng after watching he concert decided to leave. sok and yi xian went home. me and han sheng, since got nowhere to go, went to CDAC together instead. (i couldnt go home! cos my mum was still in school!)

then we walked there together, went in, discussed some things about books, (but didnt borrow any. cos got no TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE! WHO GOT TELL ME! I WANT!) and then walked back. then han sheng was crowing over how tall he was when he could touch the big signboard and I COULDNT!!!! -sit in a corner and cries-

then he actually walked me home, which was exactly what he did on the night of the last choral night, which was so nice of him! thankyou! haha! really.

so. what a nice day. then i went swimming! :)))

band today was fun! went to school with pearlynne and then we had sectionals from 1-3 in the bandroom. percussion people so noisy. they were practicing brazillian street dance! i think they very zai3 and very hard working. ha! do you know percussion people are very very very nice?

see arh. hui juan and pea passed me textbooks for sec 2 and hui juan even helped me to buy flowers for choral night lorh! see! so nice right?

but you know what? wy quin passed jasmine all her SEC 3 AND 4 TEXTBOOKS CAN?

the only problem was, after band today, we had bass lesson. and jasmine was practically dying under the weight of her heavy bag which consist of 2 thick file and a whole cardboard box full of thick thick books.

woah.

anyway, we had sectionals from 1-3 and in bandroom had only percussion and bass. which meant, percussion and jasmine and me and jacey. see! 3 people only! so pathetic right? but tmr more pathetic. cos only got jasmine and jacey. I NOT GOING FOR BAND TMR!

after percussion practice brazillian street dance finish, we played nineties with the percussion. and LIANGZHEN PLAYED DRUMSET! like SO COOL! and SO PRO! cos she very small size and she playing drumset. o.O but it was all very messy. cos dunno what percussion playing, then we couldnt hear ourselves cos percussion very loud!

then at 3.05 mr lee came in and took us for simple gifts. and yan zhen came back! so we played rhapsody. and jasmine said yan zhen's tone is very very nice! cos after sec 4s leave nvr hear nice tone le, that's why so refreshing. haha. then after rhapsody we played finale abit and ended at 5.10. oh! and jasmine thinks that yixi has nice shoulders.

after band, walked out of school together. then jasmine wanted to go find her npcc friend. then we found them painting a nynpcc banner. then jasmine said:

"shiyu! see! my senior so nice! give me so many books!" *show off*

shiyu: o.O " who give you one!"

jas: "my senior lah!"

shiyu: "ya larh! wat's her name!"

jas: "orh. wy quin."

then they started talking about 王子变青蛙. then shiyu said dang ou was very ugly. then jasmine asked all the npcc people:

"谁在这里有看王子变青蛙的？"

shiyu: "sorry. 我们在这里的人都是 ANTI-王子变青蛙 的人。"

jasmine: " wa. yall so cool arh."

shiyu: "ya larh! duh? npcc people are cool!"

jasmine: "walao. sorry sorry, 讲错话了。"

hah! jasmine so funny!

then me and jasmine walked to esso and bought food! cos we were very hungry. i bought 2 ice cream and kinder bruno. jasmine bought delifrance, and we rested there, cos jasmine was very tired with her heavy bag and wy quin's books. ya so we rested. then after we rested, we walked back to nygh and to njc to go for bass lesson. then on the way, jasmine suddenly said this:

"you know, hui juan thinks ky like her just because he added her. then i was like 'just because he add you doesnt mean he likes you right?' then she was like 'walao, dun 泼冷水 leh......' then i was like 'anyway, you wont go for younger guys, so he like you also no use.' then she said 'ya hor. nvrmind. he like me that means i got 魅力.' "

dont ask me what was my reaction. and all that was said by me. said by jasmine.

lemme pray that hui juan doesnt read this.

then we went to the bass teacher's center and had our lesson.

and of all thing i had to start first. and i think she gave up on me. my tone was bleah. my posture was eeeee-yur and my bowarm and left arm was terrible.

so basically i had no basics at all. aargh.

then she went through rosa with us. and again, i couldnt play very well. i think wat jasmine said was right. the space between the string pad and the string was BIG. so i couldnt press well, and I GOT NO MUSCLES!!! AHHHHHH!

then it was about 7.15 when we finally finished our lesson and took bus to go home.

and on the bus, me and jasmine were talking and we finally touched on the subject of primary school.

jas: "you're from de la salle arh. you know hor, last time got people say de la salle all the students get A1 and above so if you get very stupid results you'd be kicked out of the school."

me: "what rubbish."

jas: "ya lorh. primary school cannot kick out anyone one lorh."

me: "and our school got EM3 people also can?"

ya. so WHAT RUBBISH.

anyway, then we talked about basketball.

jas: " hurhur. my pri school the basketball very lan, every match also lose one lorh. got one time, we played against jurongville pri. then jurongville was leading with 3-0. then left 3 minutes. then all our players very 紧张！then got this very very dumb jurongville person. when he got the ball, he shot into our goal leh."

-giggles-

"then he was jumping up and down. "

"ya! then we were all cheering. even our players all laugh lorh. then the coach go up to the boy and hit his head and told him he shot wrong goal. then the boy's expression very funny."

one can be sure to be amazed by how well music can tell a story. sometimes, music can tell a story better than words. and that, is definitely the beauty of music.






ok. that was no quote. that was what i said. so pardon me if i said wrong.

but i really think that is true.

it's been long since i listened to 7th night. so im listening to it now. and while listening to it, i recalled some things jasmine had said to me a few days back while going home with her. it went something like this:

we were talking about how bad HCJC band plays the national anthem when she said:

jasmine: "you know our national anthem also very bad right? sigh."

me: "ya."

jasmine: "but actually, which band would go and use normal band prac to practice national anthem lorh. you know my friend right, she was saying our national anthem was terrible, so she thought that our school band standard was very low, and she said that we should start from national anthem and 练起。but when she heard on FOA band performed the 7th night, and the choir was crying backstage because of our performance, she was like, wow. you guys are pro man."

i heard from grace after FOA that the choir actually cried when yihuang was playing the saxophone solo cos they thought it was really touching. haha. i thought so too. but i didnt go for FOA. i was at home STONING. cos my parents didnt allow me to go. and i also remembered that during the hong kong band exchange, the seniors played 7th night for the hong kong band and while i was sitting behind a hong kong boy, he actually said this when he saw andrea's fast part on the mallets.

"wow! look! that girl very pro!"

haha. anyway, that's not the point.

listening to rosa.

the point is, music really tell stories like when i listen to rosa, i feel as if it's telling a stroy of a war because of the part where all basses have to play very last and the beginning and the ending sounds lamenting. so. ya. but different aspects have different views, so i dunno.

we're playing rosa for concert. ha. so listen out if you're there and see what story you get.

(I think its better if Tubas and Double basses practice separately... And take a break when you need it. Don't slack arrr! You might want to print this out?)

Cheryl:

Start - 11.45

Warm ups.

-> Long notes. F major scale. Low F to Middle F to High F. Hold for 12 counts each.

-> Tune all your valves. You should know this but anyway, if it's sharp pull out, if it's flat push in. You don't know which slide to pull for which valve? Just follow the tubes, or ask somebody.

Also, to tune:

open, tune with High and Low Bb, and F if necessary.

1st valve, tune with Eb, and if you need, Ab for reference.

2nd valve. tune with E, A for reference

4th valve. tune with C.

3rd valve, tune with Db, after you are sure that the 2nd valve is in tune.

After tuning, make sure your B natural (fingering 2+4) is in tune. It will probably be sharp, so drop your jaw and try to remember how much you have to relax to get it in tune. Bar 41. go to www.manhattanbeachmusic.com (or something) and download Simple Gifts. You will hear that all our notes just fit in very nicely with the melody. Listen out when Mr Lee takes the band, and you will know how to play that properly. But for now, just get the notes and all right.
After bar 49. Long notes. Make sure low Ab has a SOLID tone. Don't just blow air through. Focus your air. It's a note, not a random farty noise. Bar 73. TOUNGE EVERY NOTE. Tounge HARD. Accent. And FF! Follow dynamics.
BAR 79!!! Pitch every every single note. EVERYTHING MR LEE SAID DURING BAND PRAC. Every note must have weight. Start soft, crescendo into FFFFF. Last note, make sure it's HEAVY.

Movement 3: Slur all your notes properly, pitch everything. FOLLOW DYNAMICS. During band prac, FOLLOW MR LEE. The music is supposed to move, don't hold back.

Movement 4: Tuning. Take note of dynamics as well.
Bar 79. Slur. Be careful at bar 81, make sure you pitch high C. Bar 83 Pitch high F. VERY IMPT! Watch Mr Lee at Molto rit. (bar 96). He will conduct in 4s for that bar, until 99, then he will go back to 2s. WATCH. And COUNT. at bar 102 come in on time. the last three bars, make sure you tongue and separate your notes.

GERSHWIN (45 mins)Start practicing from bar 178. Get all your notes right. Start slowly first. (Remember Ms Chong said to tounge the low G. make sure sound comes out on time). Get all your notes and the rhythm right first. Take note of key signature. No flats
Then at bar 186, 5 flats. Take note, get notes right, play rhythm over and over again. Then speed up at your own pace.
Bar 208. Accent first quaver, then slur down to next.
Stop at 230. Will take yall when I'm back.

Start - 11.45

Warm up with basics. Work on bowing. Tune your notes. Don't tune just the string. Go through all your positions, make sure the markings are accurate. Tune all the important notes.
Remember B natural in rosa. Db also. Spend more time on bowing, make sure the note comes out, not just a scratchy note.

Instructions and time allocation are the same as Cheryl's, except the terminology used is not appropriate. I trust that you two know how to interpret what i mean by "tounge harder" and "slur from blah to blah" and all that into something suitable.

If for some reason (I dunno, did your instructor say anything about this piece?), yall cant play Gershwin, then go through the notes for Rosa. Tune all the notes in there, like B natural at bar 32, Db at 33. At 127, your notes have to be very very very HEAVY. Bow harder also, and rmb when Ms Chong asked yall to pull harder and all that stuff? Yeah use that sound for this part too.

today we had class bbq at palm gardens. that's where mrs koh live. and i was providing the chicken.

and the whole evening to night i was:

-waiting at mrs koh's house for any phone calls,
-down at the bbq pit trying to start fire,
-helping out with the bbq
-finding people to discuss OM
-and packing up and clearing stuff.

bbq right? wat did i eat?

1 chicken wing+1 hotdog+ marshmallows

and some people go there to 白吃白喝。never even help out lorh.

and in the end, i still have to suffer.

lynn told me the day before that sok said we would discuss about OM during the bbq. discuss wat? in the end also the same as before. so wat's the point.

anyway, wenqi said she was in sok's group. then sok said wenqi wasnt. wenqi was like wth. cos wenqi said she asked sok's group whether she can join, then liuyi said wadever. so that meant "anything also can." for wenqi and "NO" for sok. dunno wat's wrong with sok.

so since wenqi and me got no group, we went to find sheila, whose group had on 6 people. and when she asked, they started to discuss whether to take me or wenqi.

and in the end, they said they would take wenqi. which meant i had to go back to sok's group.

BUT.

wenqi wasnt sure so we decided to call sok to the playground (where me, wenqi and sheila's group were.) then when sok came. she immediately said she wanted wenqi.

and she said wenqi was already in their group.

like WTH. she just told wenqi 15mins ago wenqi DEFINITELY wasnt in her group.

wow. sok got mood swings hor. and her mood can swing very fast hor.

then they started fighting over wenqi.

then i was there thinking what they really think wenqi and me were. they were treating us like junk lorh. like they dun want us can just throw away, nevermind one. if want then can always take back.

helloo people! even if we look or talk or act like junk, we are not junk can? what do you think we are lorh. got no respect for us at all. you guys dun even bother wenqi's feelings at that time. so DAMN inconsiderate lorh. i see people so attitude also dun have you so rude lorh.

dunno why nanyang got such people.

then they gave lame excuses for why they wanted wenqi and not me.

anyway, that night wenqi talked to me online. she was feeling like REALLY VERY DOWN.

and i think she was crying.

today got AMC. also got band.

anyway, went to school at 8. tot AMC was at 8 when it was supposed to be at 9.

so i wasted 1 hour doing nth at school except sleeping.

then we went for AMC.

then went for early lunch, cos band was from 11- 4 with no breaks at all.

i actually wanted to go kap, then saw choo yi, then walk to bus stop to go kap with her. then at the bus stop we saw jo, then we decided not to go kap and stay in school. so we walked back. lame right?

ok then we went for band. had sectionals. then our section was very very very pathetic. we only had 1 tuba and 2 double bassers. ER......... cos eugenia and jacey not here. so POOR cheryl diedED. then we practiced on our own. played simple gifts, finale, festivo, rhapsody, rosa, nineties.......

percussion were in the band room practicing gershwin and BRAZALLIAN STREET DANCE!!!! AHHHHHH! I LIKE!!!!!!!!

hello people!

added more links and changed abit of my blog. got rid of the pictures stuff cos it made the blog look light-hearted. which wasnt exactly how i felt. so...

dun feel blissful anymore. just found out something disgusting. so i feel... disgusted.

maybe i should be like shihui. dun stick around with friends anymore. go everywhere alone. im lucky i got nice seniors, if not i would have given up hope already.

just talked to ky. he said thrashing things out is a good way of clearing your thoughts and feelings. but i've been trying that since primary 4, it didnt really help anymore. and i've been keeping everything to myself, now thrashing it all out seems.. doomineering to me. and voicing out my opinions seems of no use anymore. people just dont listen, or if they do, no matter how right you are, u'll be wrong.

im not saying im right, i may be wrong. but before even listening to me you give me the impression that i will definitely be wrong i will always be wrong.

actions speaks louder than words, everyone knows that. everylittle thing you do, every little action you make, every little club you call yourself or every little band you form with it's members shows your intentions and your thoughts.

im sick of this already. im not dirt, standing alone and waiting for you to brush me off you. i've got feelings and im not stupid.

o man! now when i quietly listen to all the different parts, the different contrast, the harmony, i finally saw the story behind it. i think it's very lovely! with all the contrasting dynamics and contrasting rhythms. very fun!!!!

and i feel that the last part is enchanting. it's like telling you a story of a very very dangerous storm, and after the storm, all is calm.

or to see it in another way, it could also be telling a story of war. haha. but i think it's all very nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it's full of calm serenity, but tension and nervousness at the same time.

here comes the serene part.

i feel so blissful.

O MAN! CHORAL NIGHT RAWKED!

went to school at 8.00 a.m. for full dress rehearsals. den changed into english costume and all that.

then REHEARS!!!!

so sad, it's like sec 1s cannot get to choose their own background and stuff, everything is the av people do for us, then the spotlights also dun have, so not fun lorh.

but gary tang was quite upset with 209. i think the 209 ENGLISH on the TITANIC one was quite cool. eva and weiyi's dd was so cool. haha.

210 WAS SO COOL WITH THE MEE SIAM AND KWAY TEOW THING. HAHA. our class was like "oh man they so pro! so funny!"

i didnt watch 210's chinese performance.

then we went for long break. i went home, watch polar express, then went to school again.

i realised that a lot of people dunno where the 3rd floor changing room was. o.O

anyway, everyone changed into their english costumes and then got ready for make up.

and I HATE MAKE UP.

so disgusting can?!?!?! like painting your face, so stupid lorh. and the smell is just horrible.

AND I HATE LIPSTICK!!!!! SO YUCKY! AND I HAVE TO PUT OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN. SO STUPID!!!!

then eva and weiyi styled their hair. THEY DAMN COOL CAN? they really looked like boys lah. and we kept referring to them as HE. they very upset lorh. haha. then sarah says weiyi looks pretty without her specs, but looks SHUAI with her specs. eva couldnt SHUAIGGER properly. so weiyi was trying to teach eva how to. i seriously think weiyi LOOKS like boy and eva SOUNDS like boy.

then got alot of people keep coming to disturb. from other class of course. then we went down to the audi for briefing. then they blah blah blah must do this do that, then must come back for de brief. then hui juan asked me to go follow her for flowers. so went to LT1 and then hui juan gave sunflowers to ME AND SOK. see she so nice. she hardly noe sok and she still give her things. sok felt guilty afterwards.

i FORGOT TO BRING HUI JUAN'S PRESENT.

how stupid of me.

then got alot of people come into the changing room to give flowers. SARAH RECEIVED THE MOST FLOWERS CAN. AND ALL ARE ROSES. but it's the thought that counts.

and our class very funny. we put a bucket in the toilet, fill it with water, and placed all our flowers inside.

wow.

see we so clever. like that then the flowers wont die mah. :)

and then pearlynne, charis, and melissa came to give presents to me and others. whee. then the show begin le.

we went down cos we were 3rd. then group A went in first. we were in the wings. i thought they did rather well, though liwen and clara were rather soft, and soggy's voice was weird. and yiwei did a good job of BLUSHING jomain's WHOLE FACE PRACTICALLY BRIGHT RED. she was supposed to be drunk. and she looks boyish.

then it was OUR turn!

everyone was hugging each other in the wings. very scared mah, cos we all had individual parts. haha. so we "prayed" .

then we rushed out.

the stupid spotlight blinded me.

then we started!!!!!!!!!!!!

i think all went well, except after eva did her shuaiggering and came to me, she kept muttering to me she screwed up. i didnt noe wat happened. then i thought joleen was rather soft. then it was my turn! i said a few wrong words lorh, then eva forgot to say "okayeeeee." after that, lynn said wrongly also. then dun have mistakes le. i thought the part when weiyi pulled down her specs and went " it's reeeeaaaaaaaaaally boring." was so cool. haha. then we earned the most laughter when tain hui said "blih blih blah blah blih blih blah blah. ". then i couldnt stop giggling afterwards. -tries to suppress giggles and burst out laughing- o. then during the whole performance, the audience was shouting "EVA! WEIYI! SARAH! SHEENA....." blaaah so one.

i must say eva and weiyi look very shuai.

then we went for break during interval! then we saw other performers. then patricia and liang zhen gave me orchids. haha so nice. i realised i have very very very very very very very NICE seniors. :) ooooooooooh! then saw cute little ky, and big ding. ok..... then i didnt noe who was jonj. blurr. then was rushing like mad to go back, when LYNN AND ZIHUI BULLIED ME!!!!! DIE............

we went down again for chinese, now feeling less nervous cos we werent doing individuals. so group A went in first, again. their performance was FANTABULOUS. we couldnt help laughing out loud in the wings lah! when huiying, joey and rensyn were fighting and when melissa and lydia went out. but i thought we could have earned more laughter from the audience. sigh. but we really did laugh very loudy from the wings and i really hope GARY TANG didnt hear us. hanqing was little irritated.

and ooooh!!!! in the wings, everyone was saying after performance RUN TO THE BACK OF THE AUDIENCE AND WATCH 210 THE KWAY TEOW SHOW!

then it was OUR turn!!!

we practically ran onto the stage. with the cloths and everything. then got into position.

the spotlights blinded me again.

then we started!

sarah and weiyi pulled the wave over us and stuff. i didnt like being bare-footed on the stage. yucky. then eening started. wenqi was practically shouting her part. i forgot to say some lines. then when eening was supposed to say "nan2 ya4 de4 zhe4 chang3 bei1 ju4." i thought she was rather soft.

everything went rather well until the pulling of cloths part. SARAH'S FOOT GOT TAMGLED WITH THE CLOTH!!!! then the audience was laughing. *faints* damn scary can! thought gary tang going to shout at us. afterthat we had to run in a circle, then grace and some other people infront of me DIDNT PULL THE CLOTH THIGHT. so the cloth was slagging, which was obviously what our chinese teacher didnt want. but we ended well. :)

parents outside audi thought we were crazy.

anyway, we managed to get there in time and watched the whole thing AGAIN. SOOOOOOOO NICE!!!!!!!!!!!

i must say 210 earned the MOST laughter from the audience. and i rather thought 210's performance was better then 207's on wednesday. though 207 had a rather good way to end the
night.

damn funny larh! i like the part when the 3 HCI boys stood posing there looking for chiobus. very funny lorh! haha. and kaixin looked really like a boy. the other two hci boys looked funky and boyish. i like their hair.

i like weiyi's hair too. SO FUNKY! :)

i also liked hui juan's part when mee siam said to kway teow " NOW I LOOK LIKE HER!!!!" haha. very funny lorhs. i think hui juan pro in acting . HAHA. and i thought the last part very funny also. " BUY 1 GET 1 FREE." :)

then after their performance, we rushed right up to changing room and changed for de-brief. eening keep saying kway teow very cute and she like him! (or her. confused le.)

so next time we know what type of boys eening like! :P

then there was a mess in the changing room, everyone rushing to pack and take their flowers from the bucket.

and sarah had ALOT OF ROSES. wahas.

then we went to the audi outside. saw ding. so i dragged him to see huijuan, cos he want to find her. then i called huijuan come out IN HER COSTUME. cos she didnt noe seeing him. then she noe she was like, omigod! but she still saw him in her costume anyway.then he gave us saga seeds. thankyou! :)

then we went in for de-brief. then we went home!

yayness. it's finally over. :)

lynn said she could buy blue lipstick for us. now cannot find the lipstick. so have to use facepaint.

my mum says ikea has facepaint. so i thought tmr during break can go. BUT MY MUM FORBADE ME TO GO. dun ask me why. so i tried asking some of the other people to go.

just came back from choral night. went there to sell chocolate bits, kitkat, and mentos.

reached school at 3.30 to start practicing for choral night. but every one not serious so never practice chinese when we were SUPPOSED to practice chinese.

we practiced english instead.

then everyone went off to have dinner. sok and lynn and eening and liuyi didnt. sarah and me and wenqi didnt also, but we didnt WANT to have dinner. the others wanted.

but didnt go.

then we went to play piano. 5p.m. we set up stall. packed the chocolate bits into packets. and then started selling out fast. earned quite alot. DONATE TO SPCA. =)

then they called us to go into the auditorium for briefing at 6p.m. went in. then hui juan called me. then li lao shi thought i was not listening to her. -.-'''

then sok, liuyi, lynn and eening wasnt there. they went kap. WOW. so stupid lah can? just now got time for you to go never go, now then go when got briefing. -.-''' lame.

then me and hui juan went into the auditorium. jasmine senior was runner, joanna was at the door.

sat next to hui juan. then the show began.

bailu was one of the speakers.

got some very irritating seniors keep saying bailu is white deer. -.-" wow. very funny. hahaha. -.-"

then 207 and 104 performance very good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 211 was ok..... 102 also. 208 liang zhen looked funny. haha. she very cute!!!!!!!!!

then we had a break. our stall already close shop lorh. sell finish le. so me and hui juan went to give flowers to pearlynne and liang zhen.

104 got 2 very pro actress. they very funny!!!!!!!!!!

then 207 performed. they were the last performance. was about liver cancer patients and their difficulies plus C.E.O.s miss using their money. pearlynne was the liver patient. vera was pealynne's mother, and melissa was undercover agent, and uh........ two other roles. CHARIS NEVER COME!!!!!!!!!! sad. cry!!!!

pearlynne very pro!!!!!! she and vera very realistic. but i thought melissa was cute. haha.

oh. oh! OH! I LIKE THE LAST PART!!!!!!! AFTER THEY ALL BOWED, THEY PLACED THIS GOLDEN TOILET BOWL IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STAGE. THEN THIS PERSON CAME OUT.

yo people!

went ot eva's house today. met sok at choa chu kang first. was late cos i had serious stomach cramps. then took to jurong to outrum park to hougang. the journey was quite long, so we talked, despite my stomach cramps.

when we reached hougang, we got a little lost. We saw two signs:

B: Hougang central, Hougang avenue 10

C: Hougang central, Hougang mall.

eva said to look for Hougang bus interchange.

cannot find.

so she asked us to wait there she pick us up. so we sat in a corner, then suddenly soggy saw this:

A: Hougang central, Hougang bus interchange.

and we got so excited. cos we found hougang bus interchange. and we started running towards the direction the sign told us to go.

and we met eva on the way.

no wonder got B and C. NO A.

then eva brought us to her house. 14th story. nice cosy little house.

i like her room.

despite the messiness.

then we started making the food!!

whee so fun. eva injured her finger while doing some with sarah yesterday. she said sarah freaked out. =)













i would have too.

we melted the chocolate. then we poured the hot chocolate in a bowl, poured cornflakes in it, and then mixed them together so that the cornflakes were coated with sticky yummy hot chocolate.

and then we put them in some little paper cups. and sprinkle rainbow rice on them. :)

we made two batches, then ate maggie mee for luch and watch STOMP!!!!!!!

then me and soggy hanged around, then not enough chocolate, so me and eva went down to buy more. we jaywalked. no big deal. then buy already go back. then we hanged around somemore, then 3.40, me and soggy went home. weiyi play computer and call on the phone.

then me and soggy went down, went to the mrt station. then i checked if my wallet was with me.

SOGGY LEFT HER HANDPHONE NEXT TO EVA'S COM.

so i called eva and she said she saw it. so we went back and get soggy's phone. i expected eva to come down, but weiyi came down instead.

she came down in the lift with soggy's phone in one hand raised and smiling BLISSFULLY at us.

SO CUTE!!!

and eva had a teddy called EEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!! SO CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

then we walked back to the mrt station and took mrt. i alighted t douby ghaut to go somerset and meet my family there.
